In the first quarter of 2025, the city building genre on iOS in Europe showcased intriguing dynamics, with several top apps experiencing varied trends in downloads, revenue, and active users. Here's a closer look at the performance of the leading games, backed by data from Sensor Tower.

State Connect: Traffic Control from AI Games FZ saw a notable surge in weekly downloads, peaking at 77K in early February. Revenue also climbed significantly during this period, reaching $3.4K. However, the weekly active users, while initially increasing to 54K in February, gradually declined to around 33K by the end of March.

SimCity BuildIt by Electronic Arts maintained a strong revenue stream, with weekly figures fluctuating between $68K and $128K. Despite a steady decline in downloads, which ended the quarter at approximately 21K, the game retained a robust active user base, hovering around 150K to 160K.

Gold Rush: Frozen Adventures from SayGames LTD experienced a gradual decrease in downloads, starting at 41K and dropping to around 6K by the end of March. Revenue followed a similar downward trend, falling from $11K to $2.5K. Interestingly, active users increased over the quarter, reaching 90K.
